  >  Reminder: Schedule Your Child's Physical
A physical is often required for school, summer camp, or participation in sports, and the Alliance recommends an annual physical exam for all patients. The summer months are the most active appointment schedule. In order to get your preferred day/time, we recommend that you schedule your appointment as soon as possible. We look forward to see you on your next visit!

  >  New Medical Director Appointed
Karalee Kulek-Luzey, MD has been named Medical Director for Pediatric Health Care Alliance. She was selected after a year-long process which included mentoring and hands-on involvement in Alliance management decisions and medical practice guidelines. She also currently serves as Chief of Pediatrics at St. Joseph's Hospital. F. Lane France, MD will continue his role as Senior Medical Director.
  >  Varicella (Chickenpox) Vaccine Update
In July the American Academy of Pediatrics updated their recommendations on the chickenpox vaccine to add a booster dose. The recommendations are the first dose at ages 12-15 months, and the booster dose at ages 4-6 years. Contact your pediatrician's office to see if your child should receive the booster dose.
