Routine Wellness Exams

Wellnees exams are strongly recommended as part of preventive pediatric care. Our offices follow the well child visit schedule as recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics, with visits at these stages of development: newborn, 2 weeks, 1 month, 2 months, 4 months, 6 months, 9 months, 12 months, 15 months, 18 months, 24 months, 30 months, 36 months, and yearly thereafter.

Each wellness visit includes a complete health examination, including evaluation of your child’s development, nutritional counseling, child health and safety education, and vaccines when needed. We encourage you to discuss any concerns at the time of your visit with your doctor.

Sick Visits

Our policy is to see anyone requesting an appointment for a sick child on the same day as much as possible. If your child needs to be seen on an urgent basis, we will make every effort to take care of you as soon as possible. There may be times, however, when it is not possible to see all the patients who request to be seen on a given day. Our triage nurses are trained and advised by our pediatricians, and they can help you decide whether or not your child needs to be seen on that day. The triage nurse will also help you with advice for appropriate measures to use when care and observation at home is the appropriate course of action.

Telephone Calls

You may call the office any time if you have a question or concern. All calls received during regular office hours will be returned same-day by one of our health care providers. If you feel your child's needs are urgent, please make that clear and your call will be returned as soon as possible. Please provide specific, detailed information to facilitate the best assessment of your child's needs.

It is necessary to call during business hours regarding appointment requests or cancellations, prescriptions, lab results, and referrals. Our answering service does not accept messages regarding these matters.

After Regular Office Hours

Our Evening Hours Offices are available to meet your urgent needs when your regular office is closed for the day. Evening Hours are available in Tampa, Brandon, and Wesley Chapel, from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., Mon-Fri, and in Tampa and Brandon only from 4 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. on Saturday and Sundy (except certain holidays).

Our answering service is also available when your regular office is closed for the day. The answering service will evaluate your call and, depending on the situation, will either forward you to the nursing staff at All Children's Hospital or contact the pediatrician or nurse practitioner on call.

Specialty and Hospital Care

If your child needs to be seen by a specialist, we will not only refer you to a specialist, but we will follow-up on the treatment and maintain contact with the specialist to stay abreast of your child's care.

If your child needs to be hospitalized, we have privileges at most major hospitals in the Tampa Bay area.

Customer service is essential to our practice success and we value your opinions and recommendations. We believe it is extremely important to provide excellent patient service. If you recently has an appointment at one of our offices, please take a few moments and tell us about your visit.
