Dr. de Paz joined our PHCA family at the Crossroads Office in 2021.

Originally from the Orlando area, Dr. de Paz relocated to St. Petersburg to join PHCA, after over 10 years of living in New England for her education and pediatrics training.

She graduated from Yale University (New Haven, CT) in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology. She earned her Doctor of Medicine from Harvard Medical School (Boston, MA) in 2016 and completed her pediatrics residency at MassGeneral Hospital for Children in Boston.

After residency, Dr. de Paz completed a fellowship in General Academic Pediatrics at Boston Children's Hospital, where she worked as a primary care pediatrician. During that time, she earned a Master of Public Health from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and worked on projects focused on advocacy and social determinants of health.

Her areas of interest in pediatric care include infant and early childhood development, promoting healthy nutrition, physical activity, and spending time in nature, and connecting families to high-quality child health information. As a new parent, she is passionate about supporting parents through the joyful, demanding, and rewarding adventure of raising children.

“Pediatrics is simply the best! I can't imagine doing anything else. I have the immense privilege of being part of families' lives at times of great joy, supporting them through challenging times, and walking beside them through the many phases of development in between - working together to help their children grow up healthy in every sense of the word.”\

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family, exploring local parks and nature preserves, staying active, and reading (especially bilingual children’s books). She lives in St. Petersburg with her husband and daughter.
